To start a new competition, first configure it by selecting competition type and Channel.
Click on ‘Continue’ button.
Competition Name, Date, Hosting & Theme configurations
Competition name is the most important configuration through which your competition is recognized, so this should be very specific to get the entrant’s attention.
Use our date picker to enter the custom start & end date as well as time.
Note: Start & end dates can be changed at any point during your contest design. This means you can shorten or lengthen the duration if needed. It is not possible to change the start date once your competition is LIVE.
Currently, competition hosting is possible on the TractionNext platform only.
Themes can be selected from one of the three system themes at this moment.
You can also select either Skin OR Skin + Hero image option to add your custom skin/hero image to make your competition form background and Notification Emails attractive.
Refer the below image for selecting a system theme.
Use my own hero image/skin – Client needs to download the format and modify it before using. This needs a person with HTML/photoshop knowledge.
Note: TractionNext also provides sample templates that can be used for skins when you select the option ‘Use my own skin/hero image theme.
Click on ‘Continue’ button.
Add the ‘Project Manager’ details.
Click on the ‘Continue’ button.
Competition Settings
Design your form
When someone registers in a competition, the entry form is a way to collect his or her information. It is a fully customizable form and used for putting on competitions of all kinds. TractionNext allows you to design your entry form by adding logos, images, colors, fonts, etc.
The Entry by form is here to setup the form that will collect entries for the competition.
You can create a new form or use any existing form in your account.
Click on the ‘Create New’ button to create a new one.
There are two steps involved here.
- Content and Design
Required steps for the entry form creation
Add at least one contact identifier (e.g. Email / Mobile number). If entry codes are required, a field for entering the code must be added as well.
Use the Drag and Drop Editor to create and add the fields to your form.
- Field Mapping
Map the fields and click on the ‘Continue’ button.
Note: Field mapping cannot be modified once the competition is LIVE.

Entry Limits
This gives the ability to specify an entry limit for entrants of the competition.
You can configure the overall entry and timed entry limit per entrant.
There is also an option to provide Entry Limit Key if you would like to set an entry limit on anything other than an identifier. Refer to the below image:
Click on the ‘Save & Continue’ button.
Entry Codes
You can configure your entry code here.
You can select Single use, unlimited use and Unknown single use as shown in the above image.
Single use, it is valid until first use and then will expire.
Unlimited use it can be used unlimited times.
Unknown Single use, for this there is no configuration required and every entry into competition with a unique code will prevent that code from being used again.
You can generate your desired entry code OR directly upload your own custom codes.
Entry Email Notifications
This is where you setup the entry email notifications that can be sent immediately to an entrant. You can create new or use any existing email in your account.
Click on the ‘Create’ button to create a new one.
There are two steps required.
- Personalize your email
Enter a ‘From name’ and ‘From Address’.
- Content and Design
Use the ‘Drag and Drop Email builder’ option to add the design and content for your email notifications.
Click on the ‘Save & Continue’ button.
Landing pages for competition Entry
A good landing page should be highly focused, campaign specific and designed to convince a visitor to take an action which impacts the intended outcome ie: company's revenue generation
When the entrants fill the competition form, they will be directed to these pages.

Here you can design landing pages to inform your users for the following purposes:
- Competition not started
- When entered into a competition
- Competition closed
- Competition emergency stop
- Competition Error
